Thank you very much for saying that. I think that people reject these kinds of images simply because they are not used to the idea of this kind of a relationship. It is more than acceptable in many (if not most) cultures to have a relationship made up of one older, and one younger person. Also, if you have read JKR's texts, you know that, in the wizarding world, people live much, much longer than in the muggle world. So, the idea of a 38 year old dating an 18 year old is very much acceptable.

It's a bit late my answer... the main reason why i support "such" ships is that i am actually in one ;o).
Met a nice man 3 years ago while i were in London (i'm from germany). and after 6 month of relationship i learned that he's 27 years older than me (i'm 23 now). we had a lot trouble (esp. our families) but now after more than 3 years everyone is used to it. no one knows who will be THAT man or women to whom you fall in love with. so i think it's bullshit to flame someone for it...
